The International Federation of Infection Control (IFIC) welcomes you to the IFIC 2018 Conference.
Our Eighteenth International Conference will be a stimulating event, and is planned for April 2018, in beautiful Krakow, Poland. The conference will provide up to date infection prevention and control topics, a mix of plenary and concurrent sessions, and presentations from international experts, with some sessions offered by our member societies. One intriguing feature of this conference will include opportunities for attending ½ or full day workshops, with topics presented in a comprehensive, participative format, allowing for open discussion and exploration of issues, and the practical application of in-depth material. With this mix of detailed, contemporary content, along with traditional sessions of cutting edge infection prevention and control content, we have planned a conference that will be of interest to anyone in our professional field.
Krakow is a perfect location for the IFIC annual conference. The second largest city in Poland, Krakow is the country’s foremost center of science and education. It is also a main tourist attraction, with notable and beautiful landmarks, hundreds of restaurants, a vibrant Old Town, the Wawel Castle, and other cultural sites within walking distance of the city center. Steeped in history, the surrounding area can also provide opportunities for cultural enjoyment and day-trips to additional sights.
We appreciate the generous support of our industry partners in making this conference possible. On behalf of IFIC and the local organizing committee, we look forward to welcoming you to the Eighteenth Congress of the International Federation of Infection Control, and wish for each of you a happy and productive stay in Krakow.
